Hello and a belated Welcome to 2017. Thank you for supporting my business over the last year.
I don’t know about you but at this time of year I seem to spend for ever going over what happened last year – Boo!
and planning and dreaming about what I am going to get involved with in the year ahead – Yay!
Unfortunately I am still working through my tax return trying to make sense of all the comings and goings of my bank account. Until I have that done at the end of this month I will not be able to work on all the shiny new stuff I have planned.
I am going to blog through the year to keep you up to date with all the comings and goings of myself and my small business in Scotland. Best Wishes Gail
2016 was a very big year at MyCherryPie because it was the year it came of age and moved out of the family home. I now do most of my work now at Inverstudios a shared studio in Inverkeithing which is about a 20 minute commute for me. Just enough time to get children, family, housework etc. out of my head and get my working hat on, which is a good job because it has all got super busy for me with lots of new suppliers, new products, commissions etc.
January is traditionally a time to go over what worked last year, what you never want to do again, get excitied about planning and organising lots of stuff for the year ahead.
2017 is the Chinese year of the Rooster, does this mean we need to do a bit more crowing/shouting about who we are and what we do? To be able to stand proud and shout about all our achievements. We all make mistakes, we are all human. Lets make 2017 the year when we shout about all the good things, all the good news, all the great things that people have achieved, beacause there is plenty, rather than giving air time to all the bad news, and disappointments that we hear when we switch on the news.
I am really excited about the year ahead and I hope you are too.
